A young woman is on the verge of breakup with her boyfriend over his unfaithfulness, but changes her mind at the last minute and decides to accompany him to Beijing. She wanders the streets of Beijing, and in this unfamiliar city, she learns to be at peace with herself. Observing life around her with a traveler’s detachment, she begins to collect images and voices of those around her. In the process she meets a Japanese traveler, and together they embark upon a journey. Their destination is not important. What matters is the baggage they choose to leave behind. |
